Continue to follow me on twitter @FunNLA for up to minute free activities. So, here are the free events in LA for the week of August 8.

Spend time with your children outside late at night around a roaring camp fire and marshmellows and all for FREE.  The free camp fire program is located in the Santa Monica Mountains.  They sing songs, tell stories, roast marshmallows and much more.  Their are activities for kids of all age ranges for more information visit LA Mountains website

Day(s): Wednesday
Time(s): 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Address: (Vista Hermosa Natural Park) 100 N. Toluca Street, Los Angeles 90026

Another free event for the kids is KIDDLE KAROO'S BARNYARD BASH at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena.  A great theater show with puppets for the family.  There is a pre-concert, local vendors, and tons of fun.  Kiddle Kanroo is a live theatre performance and the space fills up quickly so come early.  Every Wednesday at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena is children's night and they have different performances.  Through out the summer at the the Pavilion from Wednesday to Sunday there are free concerts with different performers nightly.  For more information you can go to Levitt Pavilion Pasadena website

As usual there are several free concerts around town, Universal Studios City Walk, Santa Monica Pier,  several beaches around Los Angeles.  If you are looking for fun and affordable things to do around home with your child how about starting a garden or making a sock puppet.  Here are some excellent sites to help with those fun activities.

What free and affordable fun have you done with your children?  Let me know and I will post it.
